Our Castella (Honey Sponge Cake) is a Japanese-style cake that originates from Nagasaki, Japan. The traditional recipe uses only three ingredients - flour, eggs, and sugar, but during the Edo period, honey was used as a substitute for the expensive sugar. Over time, the cake's flavor and aroma have been developed to create a unique taste. Our honey is sourced from local farmers in the Lockyer Valley, Queensland, while our Jesmine Green Tea is imported from Taiwan and Japan. Our award-winning Macha comes from Uji, Japan, and is of the highest quality.
